About 3 weeks ago I made part of a production crew which was tasked to record a film trailer for a brand-new book, the book is called "Het mysterie van de goudkoerier", a really exciting story that I hope can be turned into a movie, let's hold out hope that it will be like that.
That day I got up at 5 am in order to get their early and get to know all the processes that are poured into a production of such a work.
Even tough it was a long day (we recorded as late as 1 am in the morning) I can surely say I enjoyed every bit of it, well not those times when we needed to move all the set in order to make a new shot, but hey!, it's awesome to see how those scenes are constructed by seasoned people in a matter of minutes, how the lights were put togheter giving different moods each time and how the whole team worked united to keep things rolling smoothly.
The team was filled with seasoned people who where a joy to work with. The trailer was directed by the make-it-happen director Frank van der Velde and the camera team was leaded by the always kind and seasoned Goof de Koning, even tough it was the first time I met them, I was impressed by their humbleness, experience, crazy ideas climbing on everithing they found and their hands-on approach. I would be honored to work with them again in the not so distant future.
The pictures are not organized in any specific order, I just threw them here for you to enjoy.
Take a look at the awesome final result and tell me if I'm not right!
